My First Time Go
Abroad
Last year was my
first time to go abroad. Me and my family went to Saudi Arabia for Pilgrim’s
trip or Umrah trip. In the morning I prepared all of the stuffs that I want to
bring it to the trip such as clothes, money, gadget, and many more. My parents
was so busy to prepare the document and me and my brother and sister took all
the snack preparation for the trip.
After all had
been prepared, in the afternoon I went to the airport and gather around with my
groups for Umrah. I was waiting for about one hour until I got on the plane and
flew away to Jakarta. From Jakarta, I took transit plane to Dubai first before
get into Madinah as the final destination. It almost fajr when I arrived in
Dubai. We took the first plan to go to Madinah.
Landing in
Madinah safely and I was so grateful. In airport, we were picked up by the
travel agent that would take care of us while in Saudi Arabia. There were
Ustadz, driver, and tour guide each group for serving us in Saudi Arabia. From
the airport until the hotel it took about half an hour using a bus as the
mobile transportation.
In the hotel I immediately
prepared my clothes to have a subuh prayer in Masjidil Nabawi. After took a
subuh prayer I got into Raudhah to see Rasulullah SAW’s cementry, it was
beautiful and I was very amaze to see it. When I got out from Raudhah, I met a
brother in faith from Kuwait and we talked about our social life in our own
country it was very fun.
The next week I went
to Makkah to have an Umrah. We took a bus to go to Makkah. It took about three
and a half hour. In the middle of the trip we went to Bir Ali to have our
intend for Umrah, have a 2 rakaah prayer, after that we continue our trip. In the
border before entry to Makkah our bus stopped by some policeman and they
checked all of passangers luggage. After all had been clear we have a
permission to continue our trip.
My hotel in
Makkah was about 500m from Masjidil Haram, I could hear adzan everytime before
prayer. I always went prayer on foot because the distance wasn’t too far. After
isya we got into the middle of Masjidil Haram and there is Ka’bah. I remain in
silent, very amazed about to see Ka’bah, it was just like a dream that I could
be there. Without any feeling my tears were down. I tried to get closer when
Thawaf. Every round I got closer, closer and more closer until I could touch
the Ka’bah. I cried a lot, I was very feeling touch. I was so grateful that I could
touch Ka’bah, I can saw how great Ka’bah is. It was a meaningful experience
that I want to try again next time.
We were in
Mekkah for several day until we had to leave Mekkah to get back to Indonesia. I
was so sad to leave Saudi Arabia but I felt satisfied that I could had an Umroh
in that year. That was the very first time I went abroad and I got a lot of
experiences there. I want to back there again some time.
